We just got back from our holiday in Japan and I’m still feeling very jet lagged. I went to bed at 9.30pm but got up at 3.30am. Did I mention that I had a 3.5 hours nap in the afternoon? I have so much to share about our trip back to Japan but I reckon it might be best to write about it when I’m feeling more awake. But in the meantime I’ll give you an idea of what to expect.
This trip was planned at the last minute. We both felt that we needed the break to walk down memory lane together. Afterall it has been 6 years since we first met in Japan. It was also a good excuse for us to celebrate our 3rd anniversary since Japan has a special place in our hearts. Hence, I’ll write a little about the places we used to frequent (which aren’t touristy places).
Apart from Tokyo, we also visited Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima. I’ll write my thoughts about these places and give some tips on how to get around. A friend of mine wants to visit Japan and I reckon it will be very helpful for her.
What amazes us about Japan is the food and little gadgets they have. We’ve taken quite a few pictures of them and would like to share with everyone. I’m sure you’ll love them too!
In the meantime, I’ll get back into Reviewing the Kanji (officially influenced by Daniel to “master” kanji). For once, we’re speaking the same lingo.
Here’s a picture of the Japanese flag flying proudly in Hiroshima near the Peace Park Museum.
Do check out the Japan related posts which will be published this week!
