We walked along the river before lunch as the glorious sun was far too inviting to resist. I personally think Frankfurt’s skyline is less than impressive but oh well, it’s the only German city with a handful of skyscrapers. Probably more cranes!
Nonetheless, the walk along the Main was relaxing on a less crowded weekday.
I was probably a little too late for cherry blossoms along the Main. There was that one spot that I thought was beautiful though. The entire grass patch under the tree was covered by pink petals that showered upon it.
My sister-in-law suggested I took a bump photo with my feet in it. You have no idea how tough that was because at 35 weeks, it was BYE BYE FEET!
There’s a row of bald-looking trees that look like they are stretching their arms high up into the sky along the river. Anyone has any idea what they’re called? I reckon they look so beautiful.
Sometimes, shadows can be fun and pretty too!
I was so glad to have company to walk along the Main. It’s one of my favourite activities in Frankfurt in Spring and Summer. I stopped doing so when I got pregnant because walking too much hurts. However, when we embarked on our walk this time round, I felt really good. Looking forward to more walks along the Main when Theodore’s here.
