Copyright Craftymemories.wordpress.comI was born and raised in Singapore. In 2010, I left the beautiful sunshine city to settle down in the UK. My husband and I moved to Frankfurt in May 2012 after being offered a great job opportunity.

I am an accompanying spouse and a mum-to-be. Very exciting times ahead!

When we moved to Frankfurt, I decided to start Chronicles of Yoyo to stay in contact with family and friends back home. Over time, this little virtual baby of mine has transformed to more than just a personal online diary but also a resource for tourists and expats in Frankfurt or Germany in general.

Photography is one of my many hobbies that I really do enjoy. I am no where near being a professional but I enjoy clicking away. I want to capture important and interesting moments in life for I’m sure they will bring a smile to our faces when we’re older. On this blog you’ll find photos of my travels overseas but it will focus mainly on travels within Germany, my wonderful adoptive “parent”, delicious food that I recommend you to try, and my wonderful and loving family.

Blogging has given me the opportunity to meet new people in the city, make friends online (ironically some back home in Singapore!) and get better at writing. I hope you’ll enjoy our journey in Germany together with us!

You can also find me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

  2. Hi Yolande, I’m so glad I found your blog! I am moving back to Germany and I find it so difficult to find good international restaurants in the Frankfurt area. Thank you so much for sharing!

    1. Hi Helena, thanks for dropping by! Will you be moving back to Frankfurt? It has a lot of international flavour to offer these days and many are pretty good 🙂
